Richard W. LYNN

Richard W. LYNN, 71, of Moline, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus in Moline.

A memorial service was held the morning of Dec. 23 at First United Methodist Church in Moline. The body was cremated. Burial was in Upper Richwoods Cemetery near Fairfield. Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. in Moline was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church in Moline or Trinity Oncology Unit.

Mr. LYNN was born Sept. 3, 1928, in Fairfield, the son of Floyd and Grace STALLMAN LYNN. He married Ellyn ANDERSON May 11, 1950, in Ames.

He was a graduate of Iowa State University in Ames. He served in the military during Word War II. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Moline, Flying Country Club and was safety director for River City Riders. He was a certified motorcycle instructor for the state of Illinois and was an instructor for the University of Illinois River Rider Safety Program.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Gretchen L. CROMER of Moline; one son, Eric LYNN of Rock Island; two grandchildren; and his mother of Fairfield.
