OBITUARY

JENNIE GORDON LYNN

Jennie GARDON (sic) LYNN passed away at her home on East Hempstead July 11th 1931 at the age of 82 years 8 months 8 days. She was born November 3rd 1841 in Jefferson Co. Iowa, and lived all her life there, moving to Fairfield 31 years ago. In Dec. 26th 1867 she was married to Robert D. LYNN who preceded her in death on April 20 1912. To this union seven children were born. Allie Jane and Mrs. Margaret McCULLEY who preceded the parents in death. Those left to mourn the loss of a good and kind mother are Mrs. Geo. F. MESSER of Libertyville, Mrs. E. C. HENDRICKS of Pleasant Plain, Ross R. LYNN of Marshalltown, Russell D. LYNN, of Fairfield and Clarence C. LYNN of Keota. She also leaves three brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Mary TRABERT of California, Mrs. Amos FOOTE of Fairfield, Mrs. Margaret CRAWFORD of Fairfield, Robert GORDON of Mankoto (sic) Kansas, Alex GORDON of Bennington Nebraska and Preston GORDON of Phokane (sic), Washington, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was a member of the Fairfield Presbyterian church and a regular attendant when health permitted. Funeral services were held at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. Gilbert Voorhies. Cora Ball sang accompanied by Mrs. Voorhies at the piano.

Casket attendents were Geo. F. MESSER, E. C. HENDRICKS, Ross R. LYNN, Clarence LYNN, Harold MESSER and Edd ALLENDER. The body was laid to rest in the Richwoods cemetery.
