HAPPENINGS IN OUR NEIGHBORING VILLAGES

SALINA

Our little village seemed to have a gloom gather over it when over the telephones came the sad news that Mrs. George LUNDQUIST had died at the Hospital in Fairfield. We hear that after the operation she came out from under the influence of the anaesthetic and seemed all right so much so that her husband started home to see to their stock. He did not reach home before they phones him on the road of the seriousness of her condition. He returned to the hospital but when he arrived she was dead. Mrs. LUNDQUIST had been a great sufferer. She will be be (sic) sadly missed in the church and by her neighbors and friends, but above all by the husband and the daughter, and the son who had but a short time before gone west and they do not know just where he is.
