G. RUNDQUIST IS SUMMONED
Funeral Services will Be Held Saturday At Hoskins Home

George E. RUNDQUIST (sic), who was born Aug. 21, 1859, and who had been a resident of Penn township for 49 years, died yesterday afternoon at his home. He had been ill for about nine weeks.

Mrs RUNDQUIST preceded him in death, Jan. 18, 1914. He leaves two children Verle and Mrs. Charles HEDGE, both of near Fairfield. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Mrs. Andrew NEWMAN of Chicago a sister, and C. M. RUNDQUIST of Packwood, a brother.

Mr. RUNDQUIST was well known in this county as an admirer and raiser of fine horses.

The funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Hoskins funeral home at Fairfield. Burial will be in the Richwoods cemetery.

The funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Hoskins funeral home at Fairfield. Burial will be in the Richwoods cemetery.

Mrs. LUNDQUIST preceded him in death Jan. 18, 1914. He leaves two children Verle and Mrs. Charles HEDGE, both of near Fairfield. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Mrs. Andrew NEWMAN of Chicago a sister, and C. M. LUNDQUIST of Packwood, a brother. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. HEDGE north of Fairfield.

In the account published yesterday the name of LUNDQUIST was accidentally misprinted and appears as Rundquist. Friends of the family note that the funeral is tomorrow, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Fairfield.

Mr. LUNDQUIST was well known in this county as an admirer and raiser of fine horses.

OBITUARY

GEORGE E. LUNDQUIST

Funeral services were held Saturday, at 1:30 p.m., at the Hoskins Funeral Home for George F. (sic - George E.) LUNDQUIST, who passed away at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles HEDGE, after an illness of nine weeks duration.

Mr. LUNDQUIST for 49 years was a Penn township farmer, and a life-long resident of Jefferson county. He was born in Lockridge township on August 21, 1859, and passed away April 3, 1935. He was a son of John and Anna LUNDQUIST, pioneer settlers, and during his life of 75 years has seen many changed in county history and custom.

In early youth he was confirmed in the Lutheran church near Four Corners with a class of 26 in the year 1875, under the tutorship of Rev. Bergstrom. He was a good Bible student. Later in life, he became affiliated with the M. E. church in his home community.

On May 7, 1885, he was united in marriage with Miss Margaret E. DALLNER. To this union was born two children, a son, Verle LUNDQUIST, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles HEDGE, both living near Fairfield.

He is also survived by three grandsons, Clinton, Gerald and Donald LUNDQPIST (sic), a sister, Mrs. Jennie NEWMAN of Chicago, a brother, C. M. LUNDQUIST of Packwood, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The service was in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith, assisted by Rev. W. B. Ireland, a former pastor at Richwoods. A quartet composed of J. C. Porath, Clifford Messer, Glen Shafer and Fred Messer sang "Jesus Savior Pilot Me," and "Nearer My God To Thee." Casket attendants were the following nephews, W. O. SHAFER, Ira J. SHAFER, Frank NELSON, Arthur C. NELSON, Raymond FLINSPACH and Rex DALLNER.

He was laid to rest in the Richwoods cemetery near the farm where he and his wife began life together 50 years ago.
