Word was received here Monday that Chas. HENDRICKS who went to Phoenix, Arizona, a short time ago, died there and the remains would be brought here for burial. Deceased was a son of Wm. HENDRICKS who lives northeast of town.

W. R. HENDRICKS received word Monday of the death of his son, C. R. HENDRICKS, at Pheonix (sic), Arizona. He left here with his wife about a year ago in search of health and word was sent here that he was improving and then the next report was the one announcing his death. He has been ailing for many years with lung trouble. He was for a number of years editor of the Richland Clarion, selling the office about two years ago to J. H. Dagget. Charley was well liked. His remains will be brought here for burial.

The remains of Chas. HENDRICKS arrived here Friday and were taken to his home near Richwoods. The funeral occurred Sunday at 2 o'clock p.m., at the Richwoods church and interment followed in the Richwoods cemetery.

Died in Young Manhood.

Charles R. HENDRICKS died at Phoenix, Ari., (sic) whither he had gone in search of health, the 3d inst. The body was brought home for burial, and was interred in the Upper Richwoods cemetery, northeast of this city, Sunday. Deceased was a son of W. R. HENDRICKS of Penn township, was about thirty-two years of age, and was born and reared in this county. He was a teacher in the schools of Jefferson and Keokuk counties for several years and for a time editor of The Richland Clarion. He was a young man of excellent character and had a wide circle of friends. He was married to Miss Harriet LONG of Richland little more than than (sic) a year ago, and the wife and a young babe survive him.

Obituary.

The remains of Charles R. HENDRICKS, who died at Phoenix, Arizona April 4th, 1904, a notice of which appeared in this paper last week, arrived Friday and was taken out to his father, W. R. HENDRICKS' home near Perlee Saturday. The funeral occurred Sabbath at the Richwoods church, conducted by Rev. P. H. Hawk of Richland, April 10th, 1904.

Charles R. HENDRICKS was born in this county December 4th, 1870, was married to Harriet M. LONG, January 6th, 1903, who with a little daughter survive him. He died trusting in Jesus.
