Death of Miss Sybil DYER.

The death of Miss Sybil DYER occurred at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nimrod DYER, three and a half miles northeast of town, last Saturday morning. She had been ill with pneumonia about ten days. Miss DYER was born and raised in Jefferson county, and was well known in the community in which she lived. She was a young lady highly esteemed, and her death will be deeply mourned by a large circle of friends. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. J. A. Raines conducting the services. The remains were interred in the Richwoods cemetery. Deceased was twenty-four years, one month and two days old.

Death of Miss Sybil DYER.

The death of Miss Sybil DYER occurred at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nimrod DYER, four miles northeast of Fairfield, Saturday, August 17th, of pneumonia. Miss DYER was born on the farm where she died July 15th, 1871, and was aged twenty-four years, one month and two days. She was a beautiful and charming young lady, esteemed and loved by her acquaintances. She was useful in every good work in her neighborhood, and endeared herself to her friends by her pleasant and winning ways. The funeral sermon was preached at the home of her parents by Rev. John A. Raines Sunday, at 2 o'clock p.m., and her remains were followed to the grave in Richwoods cemetery by sorrowing relatives and friends.
