She Has Crossed the River.

Anna R. ALLENDER, wife of Charles C. COCHRAH, died at her home in Buchanan township, three miles northeast of this city, Sunday. She had been in failing health for several years past, but during recent months some hope had been entertained of her ultimate recovery. Deceased was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel ALLENDER, now residing in this city. Her entire life had been spent in this county, with the exception of a few years in Nebraska, and she had a wide acquaintance and numbered many warm friends. She was married to Mr. COCHRAN in Buchanan township February 10th, 1881. Five children, ranging in age from three to fourteen years, survive her. Her death is a sad loss to husband and family and will be deeply mourned by many outside the family circle. Mrs. COCHRAN was a bright and intelligent woman, devoted to her home and her family, and a kind neighbor and sympathetic friend. Funeral services were held at the family home yesterday morning, conducted by Rev. J. A. Boatman, pastor of the First Methodist church of this city, and the remains were taken to the Richwoods cemetery for interment.

Shortly before the hour for the funeral services Mr. COCHRAN himself was prostrated by illness, and it was feared for a time that he would not recover. His condition was such that he was not able to leave his home yesterday.
