James W. ALBAUGH was born in Des Moines Twp., Jefferson Co., Iowa, Aug. 24, 1889, died Jan. 19, 1911, aged 21 yrs. 4 months and 25 days. He died in a hospital at Omaha, Neb. His death was caused by a complication of diseases, starting with measles. He was a son of David ALBAUGH and a grandson of Philip ALBAUGH. He is survived by his father, mother, three sisters, Susie ALBAUGH of Ottumwa, Mary ALBAUGH and Viola KINNEY, and one brother, Henry ALBAUGH, of Ottumwa. The remains were brought to Batavia and funeral services were held Jan. 25th in the Brethren church in town conducted by W. N. Glotfelty, attended by a number of relatives, old neighbors and friends, with interment in the Brethren cemetery southeast of town.
