MRS. E. D. SALLADY DIED LAST NIGHN. (sic)

Mrs. E. D. SALLADY (sic - a/k/a SALLADAY), died last evening about 8 o'clock at her home on West Briggs street after several months illness. She was well known in this city and also in the eastern part of Jefferson county.

Josephine JONES-SALLADY was born in Odeshag, Sweden, May 7, 1840 In 1861 she was married to Andrew BLOOMQUIST and fifteen years later the family came to America and located in Paxon, Ill. In 1881 the family came to Iowa and located on a farm near Salina. Nine years ago she came to Fairfield. She was the mother of four children, all of whom are living. They are Mrs. Hulda NELSON of Chicago; Mrs. Anna HOWARD of Oklahoma; Mrs. Chas. HAISTON of Fairfield and Charles BLOOMQUIST of Lockridge.

In 1903 she was united in marriage to Elihu SALLADY in this city (sic - in Wapello Co., IA) and has resided here since. She has surrounded herself with many friends.

The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at ten o'clock at the residence. Rev. Osborn will conduct the service and interrment (sic) will be made in the Union cemetery south of Parsonsville.
