Thomas E. ROYER

Thomas E. ROYER, 62, 702 North B St., died at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 1995, at his home.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Union Cemetery with the Rev. George Koch and the Rev. Norman Channel officiating. Visitation will be open until 8 tonight at Behner Funeral Home, with the family present from 7 to 8. Memorials may made to organization of donor's choice.

ROYER was born April 8, 1933, in Brighton, the son of Everette Leo and Mabel MULLIKIN ROYER. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1950 and lived most of his life in the Fairfield community. On July 11, 1967, he married Marjorie PRUDEN in Oquawka, Ill. He was employed as a foundry worker for the Iowa Malleable Iron Company for 43 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was affiliated with VFW and the American Legion in Fairfield.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, June WORKMAN of Fairfield, Karen JONES of Eskridge, Kan.; a son, Mike of Fairfield; five grandchildren; six brothers, Bob, Charlie, Joe, Jim and Bill, all of Burlington, John of Winfield; two sisters, Mildred BENSMILLER of Mount Pleasant and Marge LILLARD of Chicago. His parents, a brother, Richard, and a son, Kevin POTTER, preceded him in death.
