PARKS Rites Pending

Cashius "Cass" PARKS, 49, resident of Jefferson County for the past 24 years, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health the past several years and seriously ill the past three days.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home where last rites are pending.

Cashius PARKS was born March 1, 1924, in Wapello County. He was the son of Denver and Rosia PEARSON PARKS.

His marriage to Bette J. PRUDEN took place Oct. 20, 1943 and she survives. The family home is at Lockridge.

PARKS was a trucker and farmer and served in the U.S. Navy with the submarine service during World War II.

In addition to his widow, PARKS is survived by one son, Cass D. PARKS, Des Moines; one daughter, Diana S. PARKS, Lockridge; and three sisters, Zenith SNOOK, Floris; Frances PARKS, Ottumwa; and Lillian BARBER, Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
