OBITUARY.
Editors Ledger:--Hannah RIZOR was born in Harrison county, Ohio, July 26th, 1820. She was married to William LOGSDON August 6th, 1846. To them were born three children, two of whom died in infancy. The other, Sarah, grew to womanhood, was married to Isaac MAXWELL, settled near her old home and was permitted to cheer and comfort her mother all through life. Mrs. LOGDSON, with her husband and daughter, her father and mother and three brothers, came to Jefferson county in the autumn of 1853, and located on the farm where she died. She had been a member of the M. E. church from early childhood, perhaps for more than sixty years. She lived a consistent christian life and died in the full triumph of a living faith. Mrs. LOGSDON had a healthy and vigorous body, a strong constitution and never suffered much until early last spring, when she was attacked by the disease which caused her death September 24th. Her illness, though of long duration, did not confine her to her bed until quite recently. During her sickness she kept a firm and victorious faith in Jesus. She often spoke of her heavenly home which she should soon enter. To her loved ones she left a full assurance of her acceptance with God. When asked by one what she wanted she replied, "I want nothing but Jesus." On Thursday's bright and beautiful morning she quietly went to sleep and awakened in a brighter and more beautiful morning in eternity. Surely, it may be said of her as one of old, "Her children rise up and call her blessed." On Friday, September 25th, the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Geo. L. Minear, her pastor, assisted by Rev. Samuel T. Horton. The sermon was preached at Parsonsville church, and a large company of friends and neighbors followed the hearse to the Union cemetery, where all that was earthly of this good woman was laid to rest.
