MRS. J. M. KYLE DIES TODAY
Life long resident of county succumbs after long illness

Mrs. J. M. KYLE, 68, passed away early this morning, about 2:20 o'clock, at the University Hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA). Mrs. KYLE had been a patient at the hospital for over six weeks, and had undergone two operations.

Funeral services will probably be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the Parsonsville Methodist church, Rev. Clyde E. Teel, assisted by Rev. John Leih, will be in charge. Burial will be in the Union cemetery. The body was brought to the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

Mrs. KYLE was born September 1, 1863 (sic - 1872), near Glendale. She was the daughter of the late Riley and Wilhelmina SMITH. She was united in marriage to John Monroe KYLE on January 19, 1893. Throughout her entire lifetime Mrs. KYLE has been a resident of Jefferson county, having made her home on a farm near Parsonsville. She was an active and faithful member of the Parsonsville Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Fred MOORE of Fairfield, and one son, Laverne KYLE of Lockridge. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. John FARMAN of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Curtis ELLIOTT of Lockridge, and seven brothers, Elmer SMITH of Mullan, Idaho; Paul SMITH of Sandpoint, Idaho, Chesney SMITH of Burlington, Jerry SMITH of Stockport, Floyd SMITH and Frank SMITH of Corydon, and William SMITH of Fairfield.
