KYLE services on Thursday

Laverne KYLE, 75, route 1, Lockridge, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Odd Fellows Home in Mason City (note: in Cerro Gordo Co., IA). He had been in failing health several months.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Sloca officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery east of Fairfield.

Odd Fellow rites will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home with family visitation following.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Odd Fellow Lodge or Union Cemetery.

Laverne KYLE was born Jan. 8, 1908, in Jefferson County. He was the son of J. Monroe and Minnie SMITH KYLE. He was a lifetime resident of the Glendale Community east of Fairfield. He was a farmer and in his early years attended Parsonsville Methodist Church and later the New Sweden Church. He was a member of the Salina Odd Fellow Lodge No. 427.

KYLE is survived by a niece, Imogene HINKLE, Wayland; and two nephews, Dennis HINKLE, Mount Pleasant, and Donald HINKLE, Burlington; three great-nieces and a great-great-nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister.
