GLENDALE.

Editors Ledger:--Jedida BEACH, wife of Albert HOWARD, died Sunday evening after a protracted illness. About 1850 Mrs. HOWARD came from Ohio to Fairfield with her father, the late Roswell BEACH, who died at a great age at Centerville two years ago. Mr. BEACH with his three daughters, one is Mrs. HIBBARD of Libertyville, managed the Jefferson house for some time and the family was well known in Fairfield. Mrs. HOWARD was seventy-one years old, and leaves a husband, one son, Bert, and two daughters, Albertina and Susan, to mourn her loss. She was a most estimable woman, kind and sympathetic to all in want, and was for half a century a member of the Methodist church. The funeral was held at the house Tuesday, and the interment made at Union cemetery.
