GLENDALE.

Glendale, Ia., April 8.--Mr. Albert HOWARD died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robt TEETER, Saturday, April 6th, after weeks of feebleness and ill health. Mr. HOWARD was born in Maine, Feb. 2nd, 1822. He came to Iowa in 1840, and had lived 67 years on the farm which he then made his home. He leaves one son, Bert, and one daughter, Mrs. Robert TEETER. He was the last of twelve children, five sons and seven daughters, several of whom lived and died in this county. Rev. F. S. Pool, his pastor, conducted funeral services at the home Sunday and the interment was in Union cemetery. …

Note: Albert was married twice; first wife was Jediah (or Jedidah) BEACH (1829-1900), and second Rebecca WRIGHT ADKINS McDORMAN SWOPE. Jedidah is buried with Albert, and Rebecca with her first husband in Old Fairfield City Cemetery.
