CORRESPONDENCE.

Glendale.

July 6th, 1909--A great sorrow came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert HOWARD last Thursday in the death of their youngest child Lester. The little fellow was seized with pneumonia and the excessively warm weather made recovery impossible. Large as Mr. HOWARD's family is, the absence of the little boy, who lacked only a few months of being two years old, has left a great void. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. T. S. Pool of Fairfield and the greatly loved form was laid to rest in the Union Cemotery (sic). Mrs. SALADAY (sic - Satterly?), mother of Mrs. HOWARD, and her daughter, Mrs. Charles HAISTON, husband and child, all of Fairfield, attended the funeral.
