Robert H. Boyer, 80, of Bellingham, Wash., formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in the Seattle, Wash., Veterans Administration hospital.

A celebration of life was March 19 in Bellingham.

The body was cremated and the remains were scattered over the Pacific Ocean.

Mr. Boyer was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Penbroke County, Ill. He served in the U.S. Marines.

He worked as a precision machinist in aircraft manufacturing, an award-winning insurance agent and a departmental supervisor in support services for a national corporation.

Mr. Boyer was a student of the Bible, and his primary interest was spiritual wisdom.

Survivors include former wives, L. Mildred Boyer of Bellingham and Francis Boyer of Glendive, Mont.; one daughter Lana J. Boyer of Bellingham; one son, Robert W. Boyer and wife Connie of Fairfield; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
