April 25, 2005Hazel Faye Ridgeway, 92, of Keosauqua, died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Wallingford officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family will be present from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials to Pittsburg Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 18216 Ivory Trail, Keosauqua 52565.
Mrs. Ridgeway was born July 28, 1912, near Stockport, the daughter of Thomas J. and Issie Peck Giberson. She married Cecil Ridgeway March 27, 1929, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1976.
She and her husband farmed near Pittsburg, and she was employed in the housekeeping department at Jefferson County Hospital and Van Buren County Hospital.
Survivors include one daughter; Margaret Boyer of Keosauqua; three sons, Melvin Ridgeway and wife Marilyn of Troy, Thomas Ridgeway and wife Shirley of Fairfield and Glen "Buster" Ridgeway of Arbela, Mo.; four sisters, Meda Nichols of Mount Union, Mada Griffin and Helen Weaver, both of Fairfield and Betty Carter of Eureka Springs, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Keith Ridgeway; one sister, Maymie Baker; one brother, Hugh Giberson; one son-in-law, Wayne Boyer; and two granddaughters.
