J.C. Robinson, 91, of Keosauqua, died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Byron Wixom officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.

Visitation will open at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to Keosauqua United Methodist Church or Maple Grove Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 26819 Bentonsport Road, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. Robinson was born Sept. 4, 1913, in Cincinnati, Iowa, the son of Wallace I. and Jessie Price Robinson. He married Edna J. McLeland Jan. 28, 1934, in Bloomfield Methodist Church. She died Dec. 1, 1999.

He graduated from Cantril High School, farmed in the Cantril and Troy areas, drove a Davis County school bus for 15 years and retired to Keosauqua in 1990.

Mr. Robinson was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Andrews and husband ellis of Bentonsport; one son, Duane Robinson and wife Linda of Quincy, Ill.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Vern Robinson; and one sister, Eileen Long.
