Everett M. Klein
March 31, 2005Everett M. Klein, 82, of 905 E. Briggs Ave., died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at Parkview Care Center.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Open visitation will be held from 1-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Klein was born May 1, 1922, in Leighton, the son of Tunis and Tonie Brand Klein. He married Nellie Barnes July 20, 1947, in Fairfield.
He lived most of his life in Fairfield, but graduated from Pella High School.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and served with the Navy Seabees from 1942-1945.
Mr. Klein was a farm equipment salesman with the John Day Rubber & Supply Company of Omaha, Neb.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge No. 1192.
He helped originate the Trojan Booster Club in Fairfield.
Survivors include his wife of Fairfield; one son, Scott Klein and wife Peggy of Minnetonka, Minn.; one daughter, Kay Klein of North Liberty; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Klein was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gilbert, John and Marvin Klein; and two sisters, Margaret Wanders and Jane Winegar.
