E. Claire HICKENBOTTOM, 91, of Parkview Care Center, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The service was at 10 a.m. today at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial has been established to First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM was born September 14, 1901, near Glendale, the daughter of Edward and Ellen MAHON MONFORT. She married Clarence HICKENBOTTOM in May 1943 at Memphis, Mo. He died in October (sic - November) 1964. She was a country school teacher for 15 years in rural Jefferson county and for two years in Pleasant Plain. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Philathea Class, Order of Eastern Star, Rebekah, White Shrine, and Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy E. ROACH WHITHAM of Holstein; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Robert Leonard ROACH, and three brothers, Ralph, Leonard, and Harbert, preceded her in death.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 27TH DAY OF JULY, 1993, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF CLAIRE HICKENBOTTOM, DECEASED, BEARING DATE OF THE 11TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1991, AND CODICIL DATED JUNE 18, 1992, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT MARVIN WHITHAM WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF THE ESTATE.
