Richard PECK Dies Suddenly At Brighton

BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Richard PECK died suddenly at 7:30 this morning in front of the postoffice at Brighton.

He was born Jan. 8, 1911, south of Brighton, the son of Charles and Lucy LIFK (sic - LISK) PECK. He was reared and educated in the Brighton community and lived most of his life here.

He married Bernice PITROSKI in Chicago Dec. 29, 1939. He is a member of the St. Joseph church.

Survivors include one son, Robert PECK and one daughter Rose Mary PECK, both of Berwyn, Ill.; two brothers, Benedict PECK of Keota and Anthon PECK of Packwood; and two sisters, Mrs. Raymond FRITZ of Brighton and Mrs. Victor DEUTSCH of East Pleasant Plain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

The body is at the Gould Funeral home in Brighton where funeral arrangements are pending.

PECK Rites Will Be Thursday

BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Last rites will be Thursday morning for Richard PECK, Brighton, who died suddenly Monday morning.

The services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the St. Joseph Catholic church at East Pleasant Plain. The Rev. Henry B. Geers will officiate and burial will be in the Polishville cemetery (sic - St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery).

The Rosary will be recited at the Gould Funeral home in Brighton at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
