Mrs. Lucy PECK Taken In Death

PLEASANT PLAIN, Ia. -- Mrs. Lucy PECK, 84, lifetime resident of the Pleasant Plain area, died Friday at 3 p.m. at the Oswalt Nursing home in Richland (note: in Keokuk Co., IA). She had been a resident there for four years.

Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph church, East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Henry B. Geers officiating. Burial will be in Polishville cemetery (sic - St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery). The body is at the Gould Funeral home in Brighton where the Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. PECK was born south of Brighton Dec. 2, 1877, the daughter of Albert and Anna GELSKI LISK. She was married to Charles PECK Feb. 15, 1898. He preceded her in death April 11, 1948.

Mrs. PECK is survived by 92 direct descendants, including five children, 37 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. The children are Anthon PECK, Ottumwa; Dennie PECK, Keota; Richard PECK, Brighton; Mrs. Raymond FRITZ, Brighton; and Mrs. Victor DEUTSCH, East Pleasant Plain.

Two children, three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
