Milton "Buster" Pulliam, 77, of Tatum, N.M., died Friday, March 4, 2005, at Lovington Good Samaritan Center in Lovington, N.M.

The funeral was held today at First Baptist Church in Tatum. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Sidney, Ill.

Mr. Pulliam was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Bowling Green, Ky. He married Dorothy Marie Bloomquist, formerly of Fairfield, in Cairo, Ill., in 1955. She died Jan. 31, 1991.

He operated a trucking business in Illinois until his retirement to New Mexico.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tatum.

Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl LeCrone and husband John of Tatum; one son, Mike Pulliam and wife Marla of Homer, Ill.; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruphine Beaton.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pulliam was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons.
