Nellie Emma Catherine Simons, 75, of 204 S. 17th St., died at 6:32 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Simons was born June 1, 1929, in Fairfield, the daughter of Loren B. Garrison and Nellie Mae Nugen. She married Marshall Maynard Simons March 8, 1947, in Fairfield. He died Oct. 26, 1981.

She worked as a waitress at MaidRite and also was employed at American Chain and Cable Company for 14 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Johnson and husband Larry of Packwood and Melissa Wheaton and husband Michael of Libertyville; one son, Marlin Simons of Fairfield; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael; one sister, Delores; four brothers, Wilford, Floyd, Milt and Claren Garrison; and four infant siblings.
