Leotta Mae Griffiths, 92, of Albia and formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albia.

The body has been cremated, and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Winfield Funeral Home in Albia is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Griffiths was born June 18, 1912, in Fairfield, the daughter of Hezekiah James and Alta Mae Walker Griffiths.

She was a graduate of Fairfield High School class of 1930.

She worked as a private secretary for Koch Brothers in Des Moines, retiring in 1981.

Miss Griffiths was a talented musician, playing the organ, piano, accordion, clarinet and vibra harp. She also tap danced.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clement Griffiths; and two sisters, Marion Creath and Doris Stith.
