MRS. JOHN DeMARSH FUNERAL TOMORROW

Mrs. Melissa Cordelia DeMARSH, wife of John DeMARSH, the well known coal dealer on West Grimes street, died yesterday afternoon at 2:45 at her home at 709 West Grimes street.

Mrs. DeMARSH has been in poor health for the past year, but her last illness was of short duration and was caused by a complication of diseases.

Melissa Cordelia URIE was the daughter of David and Nancy URIE, and was born in Orange, Ohio, on Feb. 23, 1843. She is the last member of the immediate family. In 1852 with her parents she came to Jefferson county and 28 years ago came to this city, where she has since resided. On November 23, 1865, at Perlee, she was united in marriage to John DeMARSH, who is left to mourn the loss of a loving wife.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientists, of this city and was a woman who was esteemed by all who knew her. Her many friends will extend their sympathy to the sorrowing relatives.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the late residence and the remains will be interred in Evergreen cmetery (sic).

Mrs. John DeMARSH

Mrs. John DeMARSH died at her home at 709 West Grimes street Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. She had been suffering from a complication of diseases for about a year but her last illness was of short duration.

Melissa Cordelia URIE, daughter of David and Nancy URIE, was born in Orange, Ohio, February 23, 1843; came with her parents to Jefferson county in 1852 and was united in marriage to John DeMARSH on Nov. 23, 1865 at Perlee, where they made their home for some time before coming to this city. She is survived by her husband.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock this afternoon at the home and interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.
