March 02, 2005Marvin W. Van Camp, 102, of Indianapolis, Ind., died today, Wednesday, March 2, 2005.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Mr. Van Camp was born June 6, 1902, in Whitestown, Ind., the son of Joseph and Laura Pipes Van Camp. He married Irene Demaree, who later died. He then married Sue Munn, who also died.
He was a manager for the California Juice Company for more than 20 years, retiring in 1968. Prior to that he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and before that, drove a horse and wagon for Roberts Dairy.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Rosalie Munn of Fairfield, one sister, Georgia Clifton of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Oren Van Camp; three sisters, Beulah Bryant, Dorothy Reynolds and Helen Bright; one step-son, Harry C. Munn; and one step-daughter, Faith Baker.
