Ruth M. Carlson
March 02, 2005Ruth M. Carlson, 87, formerly of Fort Collins, Colo., died at 7:07 a.m., today, Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Parkview Care Center.
The body has been cremated. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carlson was born August 25, 1917, in Williston, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Tina Monson. She married Folke W. Carlson June 30, 1940, in North Dakota.
She grew up in Williston and graduated from Williston High School in 1935.
She worked in Boulder, Colo., at Boulder Plumbing & Heating Company for three years before moving to Fort Collins in 1949.
Mrs. Carlson worked for the Fort Collins Farm Credit Association and was the assistant to the director of the experimental station at Colorado State University for 20 years before her retirement in 1984.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Collins.
She moved to the Fairfield area in 1997.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Hill and husband Loren of Norman, Okla., Diane Carlson-Sundberg and husband Jim of Norwalk, Conn., and Peggy Anderson and husband Larry of Brighton; and three granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister.
