Mrs. William SUPALLA Is Taken By Death

BRIGHTON, Feb. 7 -- Mrs. William SUPALLA, 79, died Sunday evening at the Jefferson county hospital in Fairfield where she had been a patient for about a week. She had been in poor health for some time.

Funeral services are announced for 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's church in East Pleasant Plain with Rev. Paul Wetzstein in charge. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at the Omar Hoskins funeral home in Brighton to which place the body was taken.

Mrs. SUPALLA, a daughter of Mathias and Johanna DRISH, was born Mar. 9, 1869 in Chicago, and came with her parents to East Pleasant Plain when she was a small girl.

She was married to William SUPALLA in 1891 (sic - May 15, 1888), and with the exception of a few years lived in Fairfield. their home had been in the Pleasant Plain community until Mr. SUPALLA's death four years ago. Since that time Mrs. SUPALLA has lived with her children.

Of the ten children born to the couple one daughter, Mrs. Nellie MINEART, is deceased.

Survivors include Mrs. Walter WEHR, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Glen McCLAIN, Davenport; Mrs. Howard HENSS (sic - HESS), Harper; Mrs. Ed WITTMER, Germanville; George and Steve DRISH (sic - SUPALLA), Eaton, Minn.; Anthony, Herman and Joe DRISH (sic - SUPALLA) of Pleasant Plain.

There are 40 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren

Two sisters, Mrs. Martha KASOWSKI and Mrs. Pauline STEWART, and one brother, Joe DRISH, all of Brighton, also survive.
