Wanda D. KIENTZ, 88, of Wayland, formerly of Brighton, died Friday, September 7, 2018, at her home in Wayland. She was born November 28, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant to Sidney Fletcher and Ruth Elizabeth McAFEE JOHNSTON. She grew up in Packwood and graduated from Packwood High School in 1949. Wanda married Robert KIENTZ August 31, 2000, in Washington. He died August 30, 2014. She was a farmwife and homemaker.

Wanda is survived by three daughters: Connie CHRONIS, Palos Park, IL, Jyl BURNSTEDT, Ottumwa and Cheryl HAWKINS (Larry), Glendale, AZ, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one brother Melvin JOHNSTON (Wilma) of Packwood , Three sisters: Beverly WESTENDORF, Davenport, Doris ALLER, Noblesville, Indiana and Faye DAVIS (Steve), Hedrick. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert KIENTZ and one brother Leon JOHNSTON.

Wanda requested cremation. Her memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday September 11, 2018, at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Visitation will be held immediately preceding the funeral starting at 10A.M. Burial will be in Prairie Center Cemetery in Packwood. Memorials to the donor's choice may be mailed to Connie CHRONIS, 11840 S. Winslow, Palos Park, IL 60464.
