Thomas Byron LEWIS 83, of Fairfield passed away on September 12, 2018 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Cards and Memorials may be mailed to 50 N 6th St, Fairfield, IA 52556. Thomas was born September 13, 1934 in Jamesport, MO to Barbara and Berl ALEXANDER. Barbara later married Frand (sic - Frank) UNKRICH in 1947 when Thomas was 13.

Thomas married Carol MESSER on July 5, 1975 in Memphis, MO. Thomas was a longtime employee of 35 uears (sic) at Fairfield Glove Co. in Fairfield before his retirement in 1999.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with his grandchildren and the companionship of his dog "Dutchess".

He is survived by his wife, Carol, children Jane BECKER (Keith), Tammy THOMAS (David), Thomas A. Jr., grandchildren Wayne STOCKER, Savanah BIRD, Logan THOMAS, Nicole KERR (Andy), Rachel THOMAS, and four great grandchildren, sister Geneva HURLEY (Fred).

He was proceeded (sic - preceded) in death by his parents Barbara and Frank UNKRICH & Berl ALEXANDER.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
