Chris MINEART Dies at E. Pleasant Plain
Was Born in Germany 76 Years Ago - Funeral Probably on Monday

BRIGHTON, Nov. 23 -- Chris MINEART, 76 years old, died this morning about 1 o'clock at his home in East Pleasant Plain. He had not been well for sometime, but had been seriously ill for only a few days. His death was caused by a heart attack.

Plans for the funeral service have not been completed, but it is probable the service will be held in St. Joseph's church at East Pleasant Plain with burial there. The service will probably be held Monday.

Mr. MINEART was born in Germany 76 years ago. He was married on September 9, 1885, to Christina OHREN (sic - POHREN), and they had lived on a farm in the Pleasant Plain community until twelve years ago when they moved to East Pleasant Plain.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Peter, Mason City; Clarence, near Salem; Henry, near Brighton, and Vince, near Pleasant Plain; four daughters, Mrs. Magdaline SWIFT, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Emma JACOBS, Eldon; Mrs. Margaret ROTZINGER, Brighton, and Mrs. Mary HOLT, at home; one brother, William MINEART, Burlington; three half-sisters, Mrs. Mary HARE, Mrs. Peter OHREN (sic), both of Burlington, and Mrs. Leo CRAMER of Omaha, Nebr. Twenty-seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Chris MINEART, 76, died Saturday at his home near East Pleasant Plain. His wife; four sons, Henry of Brighton, Peter of Mason City, Vincent of Pleasant Plain and Clarence of Salem, and four daughters, Mrs. Ernest JACOBS of Eldon, Mrs. Christine SWIFT of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Edgar ROTSINGER (sic - ROTZINGER) of Brighton and Mrs. Mary HOLT, who is at home, survive. Services await arrival of relatives from a distance. Mr. MINEART was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church of Pleasant Plain.
