Brighton -- Nick Frank GEVOCK, 60, died July 21 in Moline Public hospital, Moline, Ill. His wife had died 3 weeks previously.
A retired employe of the John Deere Plow works, GEVOCK was born in Poland on Oct. 12, 1890, and was brought to the United States at the age of 3 months. He was reared at East Pleasant Plain, but moved to Moline in 1917.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Mrs. Beverly ROBINSON, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., and Mrs. Delores DICKINSON, Moline, and 6 brothers; Alex GEVOCK, Washington, Ia.; Adam GEVOCK, of California; Thomas GEVOCK, Muscatine; Joseph GEVOCK, East Pleasant Plain, and Frank and Vincent GEVOCK, both of Brighton.
A granddaughter also survives.
Last rites will be held Wednesday morning at Moline. There will be a service at the Esterdahl chapel at 9 o'clock and a second service in Sacred Heart Catholic church at 9:30.
