Mrs. FRITZ Of Brighton Dies

BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Rosalia FRITZ, 75, will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph church at East Pleasant Plain. Mrs. FRITZ died Monday night at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following a week's illness (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

The Rev. Henry B. Geers will officiate at the service. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. The rosary will be said at the Gould funeral home at Brighton at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. FRITZ was born April 23, 1885, at Portsmouth, the daughter of Nicholas and Katharine LINNEN. (Note: LINNEN was Katharine's maiden name; Nicholas' family name was WEHR.) She was reared and educated at Portsmouth and had lived in the Brighton community for 50 years. She was married April 6, 1910, to Otto FRITZ who preceded her in death in January, 1941.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn MINEART, and six grandchildren of Brighton; two brothers, Walter LINNEN of Council Bluffs and Edward LINNEN, Davenport; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara WEIR, Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Katharine MOHR of Hoof River, Ore.
