Agnes M. FRITZ dies at 88

WASHINGTON -- Agnes FRITZ, 88, former resident of the Brighton Community, died Tuesday at the Longterm Care Center in Washington (note: in Washington Co., IA) after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. John Whalen officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at East Pleasant Plain.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Eden Funeral Home in Washington.

Agnes FRITZ was born Nov. 29, 1896, and married Mathew B. FRITZ June 24, 1919, at Brookfield, Mo. They had lived on a farm near Brighton until they moved to Washington in 1965. Her husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise WEHR, Keota, and Ruth BAUER, Quincy, Ill.; five grandsons, three great-granddaughters, one great grandson.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. FRITZ was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers and a grandson.
