Raymond FRITZ Taken In Death

BRIGHTON -- Raymond J. FRITZ, 65, Brighton, died early today at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA) following a short illness.

Services will be held Wedneseay (sic) at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Francis E. Bass officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

FRITZ was born Feb. 18, 1907 in Washington County, the son of Vincent and Magdalena SIREN (sic - SIEREN) FRITZ. He was married to Martha PECK Feb. 8, 1937.

Surviving are his widow and five children: Mrs. Winnie FRIESE, Washington; Mrs. Jan MARET, Riverside; Donna FRITZ, Cedar Rapids; Linda FRITZ, Iowa City; and Ronald FRITZ, Brighton. Eight grandchildren also survive.

FRITZ has resided on his present farm for the past 54 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. One brother preceded him in death.
