PETER FRANZEN RITES MONDAY

Peter FRANZEN, who would have been 50 tomorrow, passed away at the home of his mother, Mrs. Joe FRANZEN, in Walnut township, four miles south of Brighton this morning at 8:00 a.m. after a serious illness for the past two years and two months. He had been an invalid for twenty years and thirty-five years ago, had a leg amputated.

Tentative funeral services are Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic church, East Pleasant Plain, with Father Paul Wetzstein in charge. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. FRANZEN, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe FRANZEN, was born in Washington county on September 1, 1895, and at the age of six years, moved with his parents to the farm on which he died. He had never married. His father preceded him in death thirteen years ago.

Surviving besides his mother are four brothers: Albert FRANZEN of Washington; Theodore of Poste, Minnesota; and Leo and Anthony at home; and three sisters: Mesdames A. J. LAHR of Pleasant Plain; Vincent GEVOK (sic - GEVOCK) of Germanville and Gertrude at home.

The F. A. Hoskins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
