Charles Hubbard FORD, age 94, of Sebring, passed away in his home at Copeland Oaks surrounded by family on July 6, 2018.

Hubbard (Hub) was born on February 9, 1924 in Gridley, Illinois to Frederick Perry FORD and Barbara (STANDISH) FORD and grew up in Fairfield, Iowa.

A World War II veteran, he married Mary Louise McMILLAN on July 3, 1945. He obtained a BSc from Parsons College and an MSc from University of Iowa. Hubbard's career included work in nuclear physics in Fort Worth, Texas and Cleveland, Ohio. He retired in 1986 and moved to Copeland Oaks in Sebring, Ohio in 1992.

He glorified God as an active church member, choir member, youth choir director and as a violin soloist.

Hub's interests including playing in community orchestras, golfing, gardening, running, Boy Scouting, jigsaw puzzling and computer programming. Together Hub and Mary Louise enjoyed genealogy research and traveling to 50 states and beyond. He was a member of the American Legion and the Justice Lodge, No 230, A.F. & A.M.

Hubbard is survived by wife Mary Louise, children Barbara Lou MORRISON (Ray) and Paul Hubbard (Suzanne Engle); grandchildren Daniel MORRISON (Kelly Murphy), Maryann (MORRISON) CUNNINGHAM (Brock), and Sara, Michael and Alison FORD; and great grandchildren Brianna, Andrew, and Cameron MORRISON, Makayla, Grant, and Abigail CUNNINGHAM, and Natalia SIFUENTES.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Albert FORD, Mary Carolyn VOTER, Katharine GREEN and great grandchild Makenna CUNNINGHAM.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 12 at 3:00 pm in the Copeland Oaks Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the service between 1 and 3 p.m. in Williamsburg Lounge at Copeland Oaks. A caring cremation is being performed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oaks Foundation, 800 S 15th Street, Sebring, Ohio 44672 or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
