Tuscola, IL

Lenore NAU, 89, of Tuscola, Illinois and formerly of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Lenore was born on January 16, 1929 in Burlington, Iowa. She was a daughter of Harold "Jack" and Julia (HALL) LUZADDER. She married Merton NAU on April 11, 1948 in Glasgow, Iowa, he preceded her in death in September 30, 1990.

Lenore was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tuscola and the Douglas County Republican Women. She retired after 24 years of service from Mobil Chemical Co.

Lenore enjoyed embroidery, reading, and exercising. She was known by those who love her for her nurturing spirit, her purposeful and hardworking attitude, and her dedication to family.

Survivors include three children, Steven (Eugenia "Gina") NAU of Ft. Myers, Florida, Julia (John) CARICO of The Woodlands, Texas, and Gregory (Celeste) NAU of Tuscola, Illinois, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, William (Donna) LUZADDER of Hannibal, Missouri, Jerry LUZADDER of Fairfield and Harold (Patty) LUZADDER of Fairfield, and one sister, Ellen (Carroll) SPENCE of Mt. Pleasant.

Lenore was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, and grandson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2018, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, followed by burial at the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA), with Rev. Jason Braaten officiating.
