Eathel Octavia Palmer, 91, of Queen City, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Mo., with the Rev. Sonny Smyser officiating. Burial will be in Coffey Cemetery, south of Downing, Mo.

Visitation will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Palmer was born Oct. 30, 1913, in Coatsville, Mo., the daughter of Everett Liberty and Samantha Alice Gates Lasley. She married Curtis Leo Palmer Dec. 22, 1930, in Ottumwa.

She lived in Lancaster and was a resident at Schuyler County Nursing Home for the past five years.

Her pastimes included traveling, gardening, needlework and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Wilma Cain of Danville, Mary Parker and husband William "Bud" of Burlington and Kay Palmer of Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one step-great-greatgrandchild; and one sister, Lucille Manning of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Arla Mae "Chubby" Palmer and Darlene Courtney; one sister, Thelma Putoff; and two grandsons.
