GEORGETTE ANTOINETTE ALLENDER
Ottumwa

Georgette Antoinette ALLENDER age 90, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Vista Woods Care Center, Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

There will be a graveside memorial service 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Memorial Lawn, Fairfield, IA with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Memorials can be made to the family and mailed to: 1102 W. Desmont Drive, Knoxville, Iowa 50138.

Georgette was born August 22, 1927 in Leven, Belgium to Jean Cecile and Jeanne (BREYSEM) TOISON. She married Charles Kermit ALLENDER January 14, 1958 in Ames, IA. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before he passed away February 19, 2012.

Throughout Georgette's life she lived in Fairfield, Ottumwa, Ames, Iowa City and Des Moines. While living in Ottumwa she was the owner of G's Used Clothes and was a meter maid in Ottumwa and Ames. Georgette collected purses, shoes, watches and sports cars. Georgette enjoyed sitting outside and watching people.

Georgette is survived by two sisters, Lucienne THOMPSON of Des Moines, IA and Bertha (Richard) GELDOF of Belgium; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and 3 brothers.
