Harriett GREEN Taken In Death

Mrs. Harriett ANGSTEAD GREEN, 89, long-time resident of Jefferson county, died just before noon today at the Jefferson County hospital.

Although she had been in ill health for some time and a patient at the hospital for the past several days, her death was sudden and unexpected.

The body was taken to the Raymond Funeral home where last rites are pending.

Harriett ANGSTEAD, 89, was born Aug. 29, 1876, near Pleasant Plain, the daughter of Hiram S. and Sarah LYNN ANGSTEAD.

For many years she served as a bookbinder for the Fairfield high school.

Rites Wednesday For Mrs. GREEN

Last rites for Harriett Ann GREEN will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church with the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Raymond funeral home to the church at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Harriett Ann GREEN died shortly before noon Monday at the Jefferson County Hospital. Although she had been in failing health for some time her death was sudden and unexpected.

Mrs. GREEN, 89, was born August 29, 1876, at Pleasant Plain, daughter of Hiram S. and Sarah LYNN ANGSTEAD. She was reared and educated in Fairfield.

She was married August 12, 1903 to John W. GREEN. He passed away in September 1911. Mrs. GREEN was a member of the Lutheran church, Rebekah Lodge No. 396; and Degree of Honor.

She taught school for several years, she was employed at the Tribune Printing company, working on a daily and weekly newspaper. She was a bookbinder at the Fairfield high school for 23 years until her retirement.

Mrs. GREEN is survived by four brothers, William, Ray and Harold ANGSTEAD, all of Fairfield; and Floyd ANGSTEAD, Hanna City, Ill.; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

All Rebekahs are asked to meet in a body at the Lutheran church at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday to attend the last rites for Mrs. GREEN.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Harriett A. GREEN, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Harriett A. GREEN, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 29th day of October, 1965, the last will and testament of Harriett A. GREEN, deceaed, bearing date of the 29th day of September, 1945, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Harold ANGSTEAD was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
