Ella Bell Roberts, 89, of 505 W. Jefferson Ave., died at 12:43 a.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Burial will be in Howard Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to Howard Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts was born Feb. 17, 1915, northwest of Stockport in Van Buren County, the daughter of Joe M. and Bertha May Jerrels Siebert. She married Wilbur L. Roberts Feb. 10, 1938, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died Dec. 17, 1999.

She lived most of her life in Jefferson County. She was employed at Siebert's Grocery, Benners Grocery, Fairfield Mitten Factory and on the couple's farm.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and one brother, Ernest Glen Siebert of California.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ethel Logan; and one half-brother, Ralph Watson.
