Maxine King, 90, of Keota and formerly of Ottumwa, died today, Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Maplewood Manor in Keota.

A private family service will be held. Burial will in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum in Ottumwa.

No visitation is planned.

Memorials can be made to Maplewood Manor or Hospice of Washington County.

Shrine of Memories Funeral Home in Ottumwa is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. King was born Sept. 16, 1914, in Hedrick, the daughter of David and Bessie Dickerson Lewis. She married Doyle King in 1942 in Lancaster, Mo. He died Aug. 22, 1993.

Mrs. King was a homemaker and Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Collett and husband Jim of Chicago, Ill., and one granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.
