BloomfieldMax "Mike" DAVIDSON, 84, of Bloomfield, died early Sunday December 31, 2017, at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield (note: in Davis Co., IA). He was born March 14, 1933, to Lloyd and Alice Rosie VOGLER DAVIDSON in Macomb, IL where he attended school before the family moved to Iowa. Max married Mary Jane LEMLEY in Fairfield on December 31, 1954, and they lived in the Fairfield area for many years. He had farmed, worked at Fairfield Glove Factory and at Rockwell International in Fairfield before retiring in 1995. Max served in the Iowa Army National Guard in Fairfield and was a member of the Eagles Club. He is survived by his wife of Fairfield, one son, Randall of Fairfield, and three daughters: Angie STULL (Steve) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kathy VAN CUREN (Ira) of Birmingham and Juanita MARTIN (Rob) of Eldon, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and one sister Betty THOMPSON (Charlie) of Washington. Max was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dick and Everett and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday January 3, 2018, at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton with Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Hook Cemetery north of Brighton (note: in Washington Co., IA). Visitation will be held immediately preceding the service 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. also at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 3385 18th Avenue, Eldon, IA 52554.
