Rhea M. NICHTER, 73, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson County Hospital after being in failing health for some time.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Weida officiating. Burial will be in the Lockridge Cemetery.
Members of the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Rhea M. NICHTER was born Nov. 15, 1901, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Edgar and Della SIMMONS VORHIES, and was reared and educated in Jefferson County.
Her marriage to William C. NICHTER took place May 19, 1956, in Chicago. He died July 21, 1963.
Mrs. NICHTER was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Her home was at 310 W. Hempstead.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lloyd HILLMAN, Fairfield; seven brothers, Elbert, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Ray and Wayne, both of Fairfield; Vern, Merlin and Carroll, all of Lockridge; and Sam, Mount Pleasant. Two stepsons and three stepdaughters also survive.
Mrs. NICHTER was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
