LONG ILLNESS PROVES FATAL

Lincoln Grant HEATER, 79, a resident of Jefferson county for over 31 years, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at his farm home one mile west of Lockridge. He had been in failing health the past year, and seriously ill the past week.

Last rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Weston Behner funeral home, with Rev. Heuther of Lockridge in charge. Burial will be in the Lockridge cemetery.

Mr. HEATER was born August 8, 1868, at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the son of the late Noah and Sarah RAYNOLDS HEATER. He was united in marriage December 18, 1899, to Elsie M. ALLENDER who survives.

Mr. HEATER was a member of the Christian church at New London where he lived before moving to the Lockridge community more than 31 years ago.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Leota M. YOUNG, Omaha; a son, Gayle L. HEATER, Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Daisy PARKS, New London; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and four sisters.
