Marjorie Jean Pringle, 74, of Keosauqua, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Mrs. Pringle has donated her body to Alzheimer's research at the University of Iowa.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Jan Burns-Hientze officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Vermillion Grove Cemetery in Ridge Farm, Ill.

Mrs. Pringle was born June 24, 1930, in Ridge Farm, the daughter of Warren and Helen Ellis. She was formerly married to John Pringle.

She grew up on her family farm. She attended Harrison grade school and graduated from Ridge Farm High School. After graduating from Earlham College in Richmond, Ind., she worked at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. She also had worked as a nurse's aide for Rescare in Fairfield.

Mrs. Pringle was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield and Fairfield Golf & Country Club.

Survivors include one son, Randy Pringle and wife Janice of Fairfield; one granddaughter; and two brothers Jim Ellis of Wilmington, Ohio, and Dick Ellis of St. Louis, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gertrude.
